As Becky Exploring nears its one-year anniversary, I'm so honored that Stefanie of The Hidden Coconut nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award!
When I started Becky Exploring in January 2019, I knew it would be a lot of work. But I don't think I fully realized how many different areas on which I would be focusing. Let's just say 'versatile' is an apt description of what it means to be a blogger!
From creating and designing a website and editing a million photos, to marketing on social media and figuring out what the heck SEO is and how to do it properly. There's so much that goes into blogging!
It's been a year of learning and growing. And to have it capped off with this Versatile Blogging Award feels amazing! I cannot wait to see where Becky Exploring takes me this year!
Versatile Blogger Award Nomination
This is the first time Becky Exploring has been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award. I'm so grateful to have Stefanie's support and encouragement!
Stefanie is living the expat life in Bangkok, Thailand - one of my favorite cities! - teaching ESL. On The Hidden Coconut, she shares tips on solo female travel, living abroad, and teaching ESL. Be sure to check out her blog!
About the Versatile Blogger Award
At this point, you may be wondering, what is The Versatile Blogger Award? Basically it's a way to recognize and support fellow bloggers who work so hard to share valuable content with readers.
So, do you win a prize? Not exactly, but I'm not going to lie - it feels GREAT to know that Stefanie appreciates my content enough to nominate me! And I'm excited to pass on that support and encouragement to my fellow bloggers.
How to Nominate for the Virtual Blogger Award
"When you consider nominating a fellow blogger for the Versatile Blogger Award, consider the quality of the writing, the uniqueness of the subjects covered, the level of love displayed in the words on the virtual page. Or, of course, the quality of the photographs and the level of love displayed in the taking of them.
Honor those bloggers who bring something special to your life whether every day or only now and then." - Virtual Blogger Award website
Rules for the Versatile Blogger Award
Once you've been nominated for the award, here are some rules to follow:
7 Random Things About Me
Following the rules, I've come up with seven random facts about me that you might not already know.
1) I'm a caffeine-addict. And though I mostly drink coffee, I'll get my fix anyway I can!
2) I love bowling. From elementary school through high school, I was in a bowling league with my own ball + shoes! (Now they're in my storage unit in the U.S.!)
3) Some of my least favorite foods include horseradish (including wasabi), truffle oil, and chicken. Looks like I will never be a true foodie....
4) I can read the Lao script, which is phonetic. Though knowing what I'm saying when I sound it out is another story!
5) Hiking is my favorite workout - give me a mountain to climb and I'll do it!
6) During two summers in college, I worked at the Y&S Twizzlers factory putting boards of steaming hot candy onto giant metal racks for 8 hours a day. My arms have never been so toned!
7) I'm terrified of sharks... yet went swimming with them anyway.
How many of these did you know before reading this post? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
